Welcome to Sivert Lindblom's website! Here, a selection from a multifaceted oeuvre unfolds – a lifelong search in form, space, material, and thought. Sculptures, installations, and architectural works meet in a world that moves between the concrete and the abstract. Sivert rarely described his art with words. Perhaps because words sometimes set limits for what truly wants to be experienced. For him, art was a sensory experience – a presence, an encounter, and a search beyond the explicit. A central part of Sivert Lindblom's life and artistry was his wife Marianne, who throughout their shared life was his closest creative collaborator. Her significance extends far beyond the projects presented on this website. Over the years, they shared an artistic and intellectual quest, where ideas, conversations, and experiences could develop in close interaction. Marianne's presence and participation are therefore an indispensable part of the story of Sivert Lindblom and his artistry. Sivert Lindblom (1931–2025) was a sculptor and visual artist. After studies at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm, he developed an increasingly abstract and conceptual expression. He was, among other things, a professor of sculpture and a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts and the Public Art Agency Sweden. During his life, he created a large number of public works, often in close dialogue with architecture and place. In 1995, he was awarded the Sergel Prize.
