"In principle, all of Sivert's public commissions have been preceded by in-depth studies of the site's conditions and how the intended visual experience changes and emerges from different vantage points. This has been combined with a thorough analysis of the project's requirement specifications. Material adaptations and budget analyses have also been carried out with great precision. These steps have already been tested and implemented within the framework of a model study for a public project and an artistic commission.
At this time, Sivert was one of the few artists who mastered the entire manufacturing process. Knowledge of scale, material, and technical adaptation was not only a prerequisite for his artistic work but also constituted a broad and in-depth competence that he acquired early through his technical studies and later integrated into his artistry.
His work process has consistently been structured in nine steps: analysis of the project description, sketching, initial model study, development of a scale model, material analysis, cost analysis, production phase, and final assembly and installation."
