Förord, Skulptur, Lunds Konsthall

Daniel Birnbaum, art critic and later director of Moderna Museet, writes the preface for the exhibition catalogue "Sculpture" at Lunds Konsthall, 1993.

Sivert Lindblom's sculptures move in the borderland between the archaeological and the utopian. They look as though they have always existed, as if unearthed from a long-vanished civilisation — and yet they are completely modern, completely of our time.

The exhibition at Lunds Konsthall in 1993 presented a retrospective view of Lindblom's sculptural work from the early pieces of the 1960s to the great public monuments.
