Isn't the relationship between form and content a major problem in our society?
The same question has naturally taken hold of the visual arts and the image.
Sivert Lindblom's works can be considered as a continuous exploration of the inherent life of form: an attempt to lay bare the structures that lie behind everyday life as we see it – structures that are defined, to which we attribute a deeply visceral meaning, a lifeblood, a name, with clear references and extensive ramifications.
An attempt in this direction was presented at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm in 1974 and at the Lucerne Konstmuseum in 1977.
His interest in 'surface' constantly leads him to new explorations.
Thus, here, definitively, content and form stand side by side, liberated and ambiguous.
