Om Sivert Lindblom, Galeri Åsbaek Köpenhamn

Stig Larsson
Galeri Åsbaek, Köpenhamn

Stig Larsson writes about Sivert Lindblom's exhibition at Galeri Åsbaek in Copenhagen, 1981.

Lindblom's sculptures exist in a constant state of potential. They are never fully still — movement is built into the form, into the tension of the material, into the relationship with the space and the viewer.

In Copenhagen Lindblom showed primarily monoliths and lead plates — works with an unexpected intimacy despite their material properties. The weight of lead gives a presence that stone does not have.
