Jan Öqvist has long documented Sivert Lindblom's artistic practice. This text is included in the catalogue for the exhibition "WATERCOLOURS – and more" at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Stockholm, 2012.

The watercolours of the 1975–2012 series show a consistent exploration of spatiality and construction. The axonometric perspective — without vanishing point — gives the images a singular quality: part architectural blueprint, part dreamscape.

The exhibition at the Academy was the most complete presentation of the watercolour series ever mounted: a hundred works, over seventy linear metres of wall, a labyrinth of imaginary rooms.
