The watercolors were an ongoing project that occupied Sivert during interim periods, investigating the interaction of three-dimensional bodies with each other within a given surface and in an axonometric perspective. Below are his own words about the watercolors: "Since the 70s, parallel to sculpture, I have sought methods and techniques to give form to the images I now intend to show. The images are formed using a strictly controlled graphic technique that results in a freely applied axonometry and an equally strictly controlled color scheme with unmixed watercolor paints. Two-dimensional abstractions of a three-dimensional nature have met each other in an image space characterized by a specific technique, as well as by the character and given format of the watercolor paper. These composite images contain "objects" that represent something else, unstated. This study has, over time, resulted in a series of approximately 200 watercolor-rendered, descriptive images, a kind of mental constructivism which, for a non-logic and an impossible geometry, depicts a sort of hermetic architectural landscape. The project can be seen as memory processing of my experiences of how forms and voids charge spatialities, contexts, and situations. The selected images are presented in a non-chronological sequence as an approximately 70 m long unbroken suite along the outer walls of the halls. On the opposite walls and in the rooms, various objects and sculptures are displayed that physically confirm the watercolor images and can be seen as a kind of derivation of how my memory has been influenced by places and their inherent formal language." / Sivert Lindblom "The objective was thus not a retrospective display of separate artworks, but an attempt to describe a creative process, an artistry over a longer period of time. In the book 'Sivert Lindblom Akvareller m.m.', published by Bullfinch Publishing in 2012, there is a larger selection of the watercolors and corresponding associations to them. The project was ongoing under the collective name Akvareller m.m. and continued until further notice. Sivert liked the idea of adding a caption to some of the watercolors when they were presented in the large catalog. It is often a text quote that would not be descriptive, but rather expansive, and without any direct connection to the watercolor. Call the endeavor "adding a feeling" or a reflection.
