Since the 1970s, Sivert, parallel to his sculptural work and public artistic commissions, has sought methods and techniques to investigate how spatial forms are influenced by space and how space, in turn, is influenced by three-dimensional objects.

The exhibition presented approximately 200 watercolor works, executed with a strictly controlled graphic technique and a freely applied axonometry. The collection Akvareller m.m. (Watercolors etc.) showed 100 selected works in a non-chronological sequence, arranged as a 70-meter long, unbroken suite along the gallery walls and accompanied by sculptures as physical reference points.

The exhibition took place in the three SALARNA (Halls) from October 6 – November 4, 2012. The catalog texts were written by Catharina Gabrielsson, Peter Cornell, and Jan Öqvist.

Sivert Lindblom on the watercolor project: "Since the 70s, parallel to sculpture, I have sought methods and techniques to give form to the images I now intend to show. The images are shaped with a strictly controlled graphic technique resulting in a freely applied axonometry and an equally controlled color scheme using unmixed watercolor paints.

Two-dimensional abstractions of a three-dimensional nature have met each other in an image space characterized by a specific technique, as well as by the nature and given format of the watercolor paper. These composite images contain 'objects' that represent something else, unstated. Over time, this study has resulted in a series of approximately 200 watercolor descriptive images, a kind of mental constructivism that, for a non-logic and an impossible geometry, depicts a sort of hermetic architectural landscape. The project can be seen as memory processing of my experiences of how forms and voids charge spatialities, contexts, and situations.

The selected images are presented in a non-chronological sequence as an approximately 70 m long unbroken suite along the outer walls of the halls. The objective is therefore not a retrospective display of separate artworks, but an attempt to describe a creative process over a longer period of time."

The project went by the collective name Akvareller m.m. and continued until further notice.
